I was asked to produce some ‘Oak book ends’. That was it, no specific brief, so I let my imagination run wild and these Tetris influenced 80’s bookends are the result.

Solid Cornish Oak with pegged joints and stainless steel foot plates. I wanted the bookends to echo the iconic shapes of the 80’s Tetris blocks and appear unstable standing on end. The additional weight of your books on the bookend foot plates makes the block stand totally stable and holds your books upright with ease whilst still appearing precarious. Incase you were wondering, each block is made to exact dimensions to ensure they stack together perfectly in storage. The bookends were sanded to a high sheen and finished with Danish Oil and Bee’s Wax.
