Something a bit different this time. Side table, one off: local Oak and Spalted Beech. The table top was made up in an end grain formation using particularly characterful boards, the spalted beech giving that beautiful marbled effect that contrasts so well with the dark Oak. The classically styled table frame is solid Beech, glossed to a deep finish to act almost like a plinth and not draw from the intensely colourful top which is finished to a glass-like sheen with bee’s wax.
