What it is and why we think you’ll like it
Small but perfectly formed, our Oak Door Wedges are hand crafted in our Cornwall workshop using offcuts of solid Oak and are supplied oiled for a durable finish. A simple design beautifully made and sure to last a lifetime, our Oak Door Wedge makes a great gift and will compliment your Oak flooring or doors perfectly.
How we make it
Each Boot&Saw Oak Door Wedge starts life as a discarded offcut from one of our larger products before being lovingly hand shaped and sanded to a fine finish. We then apply a few coats of durable wax oil.
We only use the finest prime grade, sustainably sourced, solid European Oak from managed forests, which naturally features a beautiful colour and grain, and unlike American Oak doesn’t have to be shipped from across the World.
A robust wood, Oak will stand up to the wear and tear that daily use brings, lasting much longer than inferior Pine or manufactured materials.
How it’s finished
All of our Oak products are finished with satin ‘Osmo Polyx Oil’ - a hard-wearing wax oil made from organic ingredients, it provides a durable, water-resistant finish whilst bringing out the natural colour and grain of the timber. Osmo is widely considered to be the best finish available for hardwood furniture.
